NEW sessions are being held about the threat of climate change and rising sea levels on the Dorset coast.

The Living with a Changing Coast (LiCCo) project is running the series of roadshows from September 14 to October 27.

The Coffee and Coast meetings aim to inform and involve those most directly affected by the changing coast.

The initiative aims to prepare communities to take an active role in planning for a future in which the coastline is increasingly affected by climate change and rising sea levels.

People will be able to find out more about the issues facing key locations and plans to manage coastal change.

There will be visual displays introducing the main topics and LiCCo representatives will be on hand to answer questions. The roadshows take place at Wareham Town Hall on September 14 from 1pm to 6pm and September 15 from 10am to 6pm.

Others will be at Studland Village Hall on September 28-29 from 10am to 6pm and Studland Discovery Centre on October 26-27 from 10am to 4pm.
