WRITER and ecologist Hugh Warwick will be talking in Uplyme about one of Britain’s best loved animals – the hedgehog.

He will be giving an illustrated talk at Uplyme Village Hall on September 26 at 7.30pm.

It is titled How Hedgehogs can Save the World (and Help in the Garden as well).

Mr Warwick has studied hedgehogs, on and off, for over 25 years.

His hedgehog book, A Prickly Affair, features commendations from Jeanette Winterson and has well-known former MP Ann Widdecombe on the cover.

The event is being organised by Uplyme and Lyme Regis Horticultural Society.

It is free for members and £2 for non members.
