POLICE have unearthed a drugs factory at a house in Dorchester.
Officers on foot patrol in the county town smelt a strong cannabis smell coming from a flat in London Road.
They discovered the drug was being cultivated inside and arrested a 30-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman.
The pair, both from Dorchester, were cautioned.
Inspector Les Fry said: “This was an excellent piece of detection work by the two police officers involved.
“We will not tolerate drugs offences, and as this incident shows, we will proactively take action to disrupt drug-related crime.
“I would encourage members of the public who have any knowledge or concerns about suspected drugs offences in their area to contact Dorset Police.”
Anyone with information can contact Dorset Police on 101.
