Stranded vessel prompts rescue off Portland Bill

Coastguards were called after a boat with two people onboard broke down almost 12 miles off Portland Bill .

The yacht Slim Chance had been on route from Newlyn to Hamble before it suffered critical engine failure with no wind or sail at around 7.40pm on Monday evening.

Another boat, named the Jolie Breeze, towed the stranded vessel to Studland to wait for the wind to pick up.
