Yacht’s beacon is found faulty off Dorset coast

A yacht was found to have a faulty beacon which transmitted a distress signal south of Anvil Point.
A Condor Express ferry picked the transmission up and reported it to the Portland Coastguard.
The Shetland Trader vessel was requested to divert and made contact with the crew on Monday night.
