A post-mortem examination following the tragic death of Patrick Goodman has revealed he died of natural causes.
The 44-year-old sustained life threatening injuries to his head after he fell over on Turton Street last Sunday evening.
Mr Goodman, who lived with his family on Somerset Road, later died in hospital.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said the family had been made aware and the man arrested released from police bail.
He said: “Since the witness appeal following the death of a man on Sunday in Melcombe Regis a post-mortem has revealed that the man died of natural causes and the man arrested released from police bail.”
