A FARMER was left more than £800 out of pocket after thieves pinched the wheels from a mechanically operated baling machine.
The wheels were taken from Shilvinghampton Farm near Portesham sometime between Saturday evening and Monday morning.
Farmer James Foot said the theft left the machine out of action and the replacement wheels cost £840.28.
He said there were CCTV cameras installed at the farm but they had not picked up anything.
Mr Foot said he believed the wheels must have been stolen to sell on to someone else in the farming industry.
Inspector Les Fry , of Dorchester Police, urged anyone who had seen anything at the farm or had any information about the wheels to contact Dorchester Police Station on 101.
