POLICE have vowed to crack down on youths smoking cannabis in Dorchester after two youngsters were arrested at a landmark in the town.
Two male youths were arrested at Maumbury Rings at around 4pm on Tuesday after they were caught smoking the class B drug.
Inspector Les Fry , of Dorchester Police, warned other youngsters that police were being extra vigilant and would be targeting a number of areas in the county town in a bid to clamp down on the use of cannabis.
He said: “We will be targeting various locations around the town to try and reduce the use of cannabis.”
Insp Fry confirmed the two youths had been arrested and were helping police with their enquiries.
