Severe weather warning issued

THE Met Office is warning of severe weather overnight in the region.

Periods of heavy rain, including torrential downpours, are predicted for the South West, from 6pm tonight until tomorrow morning.

The warning comes in addition to heavy rain throughout today, and experts warn that there is an increased risk of surface water and river flooding overnight.
