THE coastguard received a report of a commercial vessel bound for Eritrea, on the east coast of Africa, with engine problems in the English Channel.
Portland Coastguard was called by Cross Jobourg, the French Coastguard, at around 5am yesterday morning.
The vessel Fritz went into Lyme Bay to make repairs.
