Yacht caught in severe gale

A YACHT on its way from Weymouth to Poole was forced to turn back due to severe weather yesterday morning.
Portland Coastguard received a call from the yacht Amethyst concerned for the weather conditions, forecast at the time as severe gale nine.
After a short journey it returned to Weymouth.
