A MOTORCYCLIST escaped with minor injuries after an accident on the A35 yesterday.

The collision, involving a motorbike and a car, happened at around 8am on the A35 Puddletown bypass near Tolpuddle .

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “We received a call at 8.10am reporting a road traffic collision between a vehicle and a motorbike.

“Ambulance crews were at the scene at around 8.30am and the fire service was informed but did not need to attend.”

He added: “The rider had minor injuries.

“He was treated at the scene by paramedics for a small graze on his ankle.”

The vehicles involved were a black BMW registered to a company in London and a blue Aprilia motorcycle registered to a man from Wareham.

The road was partially blocked for around an hour and a half and it was cleared by police at 9.30am.
