A NEW education centre open to civilians and soldiers is opening at Bovington.
It will host courses run by bodies like Weymouth College and Bournemouth and Poole College.
Known as the Acorn Community Learning Centre, it was made by converting a building ‘outside the wire’ using a £20,000 Government grant.
Courses include entry to employment, painting, sign language, photography and more.
The centre is open to civilians, although it is was partly built to provide facilities for military families, who can feel isolated. It is next to The Hive information centre, on King George V Road. The opening will be held on Thursday, October 25.
