Coastguards kept watch on a tanker with engine trouble.
The Christina Kirk, a 31,150 ton tanker called Portland Coastguard to report the problem yesterday morning. (Tues 2) The vessel was 30 miles south of Swanage and coastguards kept in contact with regular safety checks.
Engine checks were successful and the tanker carried on her journey towards San Juan, Puerto Rico.
