BEAMINSTER seniors group want to use the town council’s internet code when they go to the Skyrm Room on Friday afternoons.
Frank Britton wrote to the council saying the group had their own computer with wi-fi and they would like to be able to show some of the members the use they could get out of a computer.
He said: “In addition to the 45 minutes or so on Friday afternoon in the Skyrm Room, Beaminster Seniors, encouraged by Age UK and West Dorset POPP, are seeking to develop a link between them and the ICT department at Beaminster School.”
Coun Christopher Turner said: “We should have the facility to offer wi-fi access. I think it is ridiculous that we are prevented from doing so.”
Coun Janet Page said they should lobby to try and get the password from West Dorset District Council.
