Funeral of tragic powerboat racer

THE funeral will be held later of tragic powerboat racer Mike Lovell who died after his craft flipped over during a race in Weymouth.
Mr Lovell, of Southampton, suffered multiple injuries in the crash during the national powerboat championship on September 16 in Weymouth Bay and died later in hospital.
More than  a thousand people are expected to attend the funeral, which will be held at St Mary’s Church in Sholing, Southampton, at 1pm today.
His navigator Dan Whapples was also seriously injured and has returned home after undergoing treatment and surgery at Southampton Hospital.

A memorial to the Red Arrows Pilot who was sadly killed in an air crash at Bournemouth was put in place there.

Perhaps a similar thing could be done for
Mr Lovell in Weymouth.
