STAFF at a law firm threw on their threads when they took part in the annual ‘Jeans for Genes’ appeal.

Ellis Jones Solicitors of Swanage joined companies and organisations across the country in encouraging staff to wear denim for the day.

In return, donations were collected which will go towards funding pioneering research and vital support for children affected by genetic disorders.

Among the people taking part was managing partner Nigel Smith. He said that all four of Ellis Jones’ offices in Bournemouth, Canford Cliffs, Ringwood and Swanage took part.

Mr Smith added: “It’s a chance to raise money for a very worthy cause.

This year’s Jeans for Genes day was the 17th annual fundraiser.

The charity has raised more than £38million so far.
