A SERIES of roadshows to promote prevention of crime are being held in Purbeck this week.
A specially kitted-out car will be on show to raise awareness of vehicle crime while a shed will be used to promote outbuilding security.
Members of local Safer Neighbour-hood Teams will also be present to help security-mark bikes.
The roadshows will include representatives from Dorset Police, Purbeck District Council and other agencies.
Residents will be consulted about the factors influencing the fear of crime.
The roadshows will begin today at 10am outside the Post Office in Carey Road, Wareham and from 1pm in Sainsbury’s car park Tomorrow, an event will be held at 10am by the Spar, Upton.
On Thursday, roadshows will take place at 10am at the D’urberville Centre, Wool and 1pm at Lulworth’s main car park.
On Friday, events will continue from 10am at Lytchett Matravers recreation ground car park and 1pm outside Bere Regis Doctors Surgery.
The roadshows’ final stop is on Saturday October 13 at 10am at Ware-ham Market, then 1pm by Swanage Co-op.
