Police appeal after burglary in Weymouth

POLICE are seeking a man after a burglary took place in a property near to Weymouth Harbour.
A man, aged between 40 and 50, gained access to an insecure building on Hope Street between 1.55pm and 2.15pm last Wednesday.The offender was disturbed and quickly left the scene. Nothing was stolen.
Officers described the man as white with dark hair, around five-feet and eight inches tall and of medium build.
He has a distinct purple weeping sore on his left cheek, speaks with a slight accent and was wearing dark clothing and a baseball cap.
Police Constable Adam Bayliss, of Weymouth police, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident and anyone who recognises the man, to contact me urgently.“I would also like to remind members of the public to keep their properties secure at all times.”Anyone with information should contact Dorset Police on 101.
