Man arrested after hit and run in North Dorset

A MAN has been arrested after a hit and run crash in North Dorset.
It comes after a police appeal following a collision between a 19-year-old Wiltshire man and a silver Peugeot 207 car in Gillingham.
The incident happened outside Legends nightclub at around 3.30am on Sunday morning.
A 23-year-old, from Gillingham, has been arrested for grievous bodily harm after he handed himself into police.
The driver of the vehicle left the scene without stopping and the pedestrian was taken to Yeovil Hospital with leg injuries.
Dorset Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on 101.
