MOTORCYCLISTS have the chance to ensure they are biking safe on the cou-nty’s roads with a police-run course.
Bikesafe will take place at the Southern Counties Shooting Ground on the weekend of October 20 and 21.
It will be in two parts, on Saturday between 10am and 4pm there will be a theory presentation and an assessed ride on Sunday between 9am and noon or 1pm and 4pm.
The course is available to anyone who rides a 250cc-plus motorbike. Places will cost £20.
Police Constable Chris Smith, BikeSafe co-ordinator, said: “Even the most experienced bikers could learn something on the BikeSafe course that may one day save their life.
“This course provides motorcyclists with a great opportunity to gain advice and tips on areas including cornering, overtaking, positioning and hazard perception.
“The Dorset Police riders that run this course are genuinely passionate about motorcycling.
“We hope that everyone taking part in the course enjoys it and becomes a better rider because of it.”
