NEW workshops are being held to help householders fight draughts and cut their heating bills.

Draught Busters is holding the session in Bridport on October 27 in Victoria Grove and December 1 at the Unitarian Church.

The Transition Town Bridport backed sessions will include training on how to stop draughts.

They are being run by Chit Chong who has held previous courses but also has started an insulation business in Bridport.

Transition Town Bridport will supply materials at cost to participants.

Typically, the cost will be around £10 to £15 for plastic strips involved but the workshops themselves are free.

A course in practical skills is also running from October 29 to November 2 at Kingston Maurward's centre in North Mills, Bridport.

It is open for any unemployed 16- to 24-year-olds.

It will cover the basics of carpentry, plumbing, electrics and metalwork.

Anyone who wishes to apply for the course should obtain an application form from the Job Centre in Bridport, or from admin@transitiontownbrid port.co.uk.
