OUR WORK here in Fiji is continuing to go well. For those of you who have been following the story of 3-year old Pooja, we are pleased to report that she will be travelling to Melbourne tomorrow to begin her course of treatment.

Work has already begun on our 6th kindergarten, this one being in the sugar cane growing area of Vanua Levu, as a substantial proportion of the money for this project was donated by Tate and Lyle Sugars.

As Tate and Lyle buys all the sugar grown in Fiji, we felt it was important that the facility should benefit the families of cane growers and cane cutters.

BACK in Dorset, there are a few events to report. The first of these is a talk by Derek Radley from Victim Support on Thursday, November 8. Meetings held in Bradford Peverell Village Hall, starting at 7.15pm. Visitors and new members are always welcome. Please contact 01305 262649 for further details.

THOSE who have already experienced a Rampisham Quiz Night will no doubt be pleased to learn that the next of these will be held in Rampisham Village Hall on the evening of Saturday, November 10.

For those who have not yet had the pleasure, do make the effort, as it is well worth it. Make sure you book early, as this is a very popular event. Please get in touch with Brian or Mary on 01935 83206 for more information.

SARAH, our local Police Community Support Officer will be in the Saxon Arms, Stratton, between 1100 and 12 midday on Friday, November 2.

If you cannot make it but would like to talk, then please call 01305 226815 Do come along and discuss any issues that are concerning you. Or simply pop in to say hello to Sarah and share a coffee with her!
