A MAN facing allegations that he trapped a woman in his house and raped her is standing trial at Dorchester Crown Court.

Louay Elamin, 32, is facing two charges of rape and two charges of false imprisonment in relation to the incident in Weymouth which dates back to March 2009.

He denies all four charges.

In his opening address to the jury, prosecutor Martin Lanchester said Elamin, now of Kings Road, Ilford in London, had been drinking on March 20, 2009, and his 28-year-old victim was in his house when he became ‘angry and increasingly aggressive towards her’.

He said the defendant proceeded to go around the property locking all the doors and then pulled out a kitchen knife and dragged her upstairs.

In the bedroom he threatened the woman and forced her to perform a sexual act on him.

Mr Lanchester said Ben Koura, who was known to the defendant, knocked on the front door as he had come round to pay him some money.

He said: “The defendant went downstairs, opened the front door and as Mr Koura went to hand over some money he was grabbed and pulled into the property.”

Mr Lanchester said Elamin showed Mr Koura the knife and then locked the door and took Mr Koura up to the bedroom as well.

He said: “As Mr Koura was taken upstairs he was struck about the head with a belt and he, too, was threatened with a knife.”

Mr Lanchester said Elamin then tied Mr Koura up before taking the women into another bedroom and raping her.

He said the female victim did not tell police what had happened until earlier this year. The case continues.
