VOLUNTEERS are needed to help give shoppers and visitors a welcome to Dorchester.
The Dorchester BID (Business Improvement District) is running its parking ambassadors project for two weeks over the half-term period to help shoppers find spaces and provide information to visitors.
It is looking for people who can give up their time to act as ambassadors from Saturday, October 20 to Saturday, November 3.
Project director Phil Gordon said: “What we are looking for is people that are proud of Dorchester and know the town well, outgoing people that want to help and enthuse, give directions and give people a welcome to Dorchester really.
“Everybody that has done it so far has thoroughly enjoyed it and got a lot out of it.”
Anyone interested in becoming an ambassador is asked to email philg@dorchesterdorset. co.uk or contact the BID office on 01305 257231.
