Weymouth man faces 'real prospect' of prison after possessing drugs
11:30am Wednesday 17th October 2012 in News By
A MAN has been told he faces a ‘real prospect’ of going to prison after admitting two counts of possessing Class A drugs.
Matthew James Harper, aged 45, of Derby Street, Weymouth, appeared at Dorchester Crown Court and admitted possessing crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply on May 28 this year.
Judge Roger Jarvis told the defendant: “You have made admissions to two serious matters, and the court takes a very serious view on this.
“I want to know more about you, so I will require a pre-sentence report, but there is a real prospect of imprisonment.”
Harper was bailed to appear at the crown court on November 16 for sentencing.
