The new Reception class at Broadmayne First School has settled happily into school life, helped by their Year 4 “buddies.” Year 4 pupils are all enthusiastically receiving tuition in brass instruments this term.
Recent specialist coaching in basketball and tennis has identified some budding future talents.
The school celebrated the Harvest Festival last week, always a joyous occasion. Families generously donated food, which was distributed to the Dorchester Women’s Refuge and Foodbank. We are holding an Open morning on November 20 from 9.15-10 for parents considering local schools for 2013. All welcome – ring the office for details on 01305 852471.
A new yoga class will start at the village hall on Friday, November 9, from 10 till 11.30. Contact Helen Heger, (a Member of the British Wheel of Yoga Instructors) on 01305 267174 for details. Open to adults of all abilities, nothing too strenuous. Possible to pay weekly or for a term.
