A FUNDRAISER in memory of a Dorchester schoolboy raised over £900.
Mum Jo Lee said she was delighted at the total achieved from a darts marathon and fun day in memory of her son Peter, who died in 2010 aged just 12 after a brave battle with leukaemia.
The money will be used to buy toys for youngsters at the Piam Brown ward at Southampton General Hospital, where Dorchester Middle School pupil Peter was treated.
Jo is heading up to meet the play leader at the ward over half term and go shopping with the funds raised from the event at the Cornwall Hotel.
She said: “We are looking to probably get some more baby toys to go in their play area.”
Jo said she wanted to issue a big thank you to all those who helped on the day, supported the event and donated prizes to help raise funds.
She said: “We were very impressed with how much we raised.”
