A COUPLE who met at university chose Corfe Castle as the perfect venue for their wedding.

Katie Rod, who was brought up on Portland, met Jack Little, from Alton in Hampshire, while both were at university in Winchester.

Katie was training to be a primary teacher and Jack was doing a sports degree.

They now live in Hampshire.

The happy couple tied the knot at St Edward’s Church opposite Corfe Castle. The bride was given away by her grandfather Colin Maskell.

The couple celebrated with more than 80 members of their families and close friends at a reception at Kingston Country Barn.

The barn was decorated with lots of tiny lights.

Mother of the bride, Bridget Rod said it was a wonderful day.

She said: “Everything was just perfect it really was.”

Following the wedding the couple embarked on a four-month trip around the world – they have been travelling round New Zealand, Australia, Bali, Vietnam and the Maldives, visiting friends as they go.
