A WEYMOUTH man has been voted Man of the Year after losing seven stone.
The Slimming World group at Weymouth fire station voted Jason Peters their Man of the Year after he lost an incredible seven stone in just over a year to reach his target weight.
Jason joined the group on the day it opened on May 4, 2013, when he said his health was suffering and his family were very concerned about his wellbeing. He had been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and Type 2 diabetes for which he was taking a medication.
However, after joining the group and losing weight, Jason is no longer taking any medication for his diabetes and soon has an appointment at the Sleep Apnea Clinic.
Since losing weight Jason regularly takes long walks with his grandchildren and is now a regular visitor to the gym.
He was presented with the award by his group and weight loss consultant Mick Adams.
