A Weymouth couple who are both in the Salvation Army met recently got married at the organisation's Weymouth branch, surrounded by over 120 family and friends.

Dominic James Muse-Nicholls and Lucy Elizabeth Muse-Nicholls (nee Muse-Smith) met while studying at Weymouth College and have been together for more than five years.

The newlyweds had the reception for their Star Wars-themed wedding at Littlemoor Community Centre, where guests enjoyed a buffet before an evening disco.

The couple’s first dance was to Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years, and their wedding cake was a four-tier lilac and white fruit and chocolate cake, in keeping with the wedding’s colour scheme.

They said they wanted to thank all their friends and family who stepped in to help make the occasion a brilliant day.

They also thanked Major Linda Routledge for the ceremony, photographer Jan Hinton, Cotton and Sons funeral directors for the limousine and organising the order of service, and usher Paul Roberts, who they said was ‘an absolute star’ and went above and beyond his duties.

The pair will now save up for their honeymoon, which they are hoping to have in Spain or Turkey.
