A Sutton Poyntz family are celebrating after their son Paul Edge’s marriage to Federica Sporeni in Italy.
Paul, a former Wey Valley School pupil, chose schoolfriends Rob Johnston and Richard Davies to be his best men.
More than 80 guests attended the wedding in Sicily, with around 40 flying in from England for the occasion. The wedding service was held at the Santuario Sant’Antonio da Padova in Capo Milazzo, a picturesque small church dug into a cave.
The happy couple’s reception was held at the Paradiso cliff-top restaurant overlooking Mount Etna.
Paul and Federica cut their wedding cake against the backdrop of Mount Etna, an active volcano.
The pair honeymooned in Vulcano before returning to their home in Brighton, where Paul is a senior online marketing executive and Federica is a veterinary surgeon.
Paul is the only son of Phil and Pam Edge from Sutton Poyntz, and his bride Federica is the only daughter of Renato and Maria Rosa Sporeni from Milan.
