OVER 50 people turned out to celebrate Portland man Jack White’s milestone 90 birthday. Mr White held a tea party at The Heights Hotel in Portland and his birthday cake was decorated with a picture of himself aged 16, in his Air Training Corps uniform.
Jack asked for donations to charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People instead of presents, as he has suffered extreme deafness for many years, and £300 was collected.
He said he still had a positive outlook on life as there was always an event to forward to.
