YOUNG SCOUTS were given a boost by the Hand in Hand Lodge of Odd Fellows Dorchester.
Over 90 lodge members and friends packed into the Scout Hut at Sawmills in Dorchester to enjoy the annual presentation of cheques to local charities.
A total of 18 cheques for £200 were presented to local charity representatives, who gave a short summary of the work they do in the community.
The year’s Grand Noble Mary Brewer also received a cheque for £1,350 for her chosen charity Crossways Scouts to improve the group’s facilities.
