A PAIR of misbehaving dogs brought a Dorset couple together, and now they can thank their mischievous hounds for a perfect wedding day.

Elspeth Monro, now Elliot, met her husband to be Chris on the beach around Ringstead Bay in July of 2013.

Mrs Elliot said: “We were just out walking our dogs along the seaside when they started misbehaving.

“This got us talking and we decided to have a drink together.”

Elz, originally from Bere Regis, works at the Medivet in Wool and Chris, originally from Weymouth, is an engineer for Holt JCB.

The couple saw each other for more than two and a half years before tying the knot at the St John Baptist Chapel in Bere Regis on February 20.

Elz said: “It was just a perfect day.

“It went by very fast and we were really pleased with everything and had a lovely day.

“It was just family and close friends for the most part but then we had some more people come in the evening.”

Elz is 25 and her new husband is 26.

They now live in Wool where the animal-loving couple have one dog and one cat.

Speaking of the last two months they have been married, Elz said: “They have been amazing.

“We’ve just started looking at houses together.”

The photographs on their wedding day were taken by Chris Whitefield, a Weymouth-based wedding photographer.
