A FASHION show in aid of Diabetes UK (DUK) was a big hit at Dorchester Corn Exchange.
Lisa Bond, 24, from Dorchester, organised the show.
Lisa has suffered from diabetes since the age of six and aimed to raise awareness for all diabetics.
Opticians from Specsavers in Dorchester supported the charity fashion show.
They sold tickets and staff from the store helped dress the models on the night with designer glasses.
Starbucks, Orchid clothing store and Medusa Beauty salon also sold tickets and helped with the show.
Specsavers store director Sue Morgan said: "We were delighted to be involved in the fashion show.
"It is a cause close to our hearts and is also Specsavers' chosen charity for 2008. The show was a complete success and the models looked great.
"It was a chance to raise lots of money for Diabetes UK. We raised more than £420 through ticket sales and customer donations."
In an effort to raise more money for the cause, Lisa has been sponsored to not buy any clothes for an entire year and has so far raised £700.
She said: "I have organised the fashion show to create awareness for diabetics and the effects it can have on you.
"I am hoping to raise in excess of £2,000 for Diabetes UK."
