Students’ showcase

| Students showcase their performing arts skills |
CREATIVE students on the 1st Diploma Performing
Arts courses at Weymouth College joined forces for a
showcase of dance, drama, music and technology to
demonstrate the best of the year's work.
The students ran the whole event with professional
attitudes and took on roles in such areas as front of house,
marketing, directing, lighting, music and also performance.
The show featured a version of Cell Block Tango from
Chicago, street dance, musical performances of new
material as well as classics from Iron Maiden, Annie
Lennox, Razorlight and Johann Pachelbel.
There was also the launch of a new Music Technology
Showcase CD, produced by the students from the music
technology course.
Lecturer Tori Naerger and Shawn Keys wanted to
congratulate all of the students involved in the showcase
for all their hard work.
"It was a huge success and the audiences left saying how
professional and energised the performers were.
"All the staff here in the creative arts department are
extremely proud of the event and we would like to wish all
our BTEC First Diploma students good luck in their further
education and careers."
