ST MARY'S Church, Weymouth, needs to raise £12,000 for vital work to be carried out on the organ and a series of lunchtime concerts is being held to raise cash.

A GRANT of £6,000 from the Dorset Historic Churches Trust has helped complete essential repair work on the oldest church spire in the county.

WOMEN will be given flowers after Mothering Sunday services in Weymouth tomorrow (Sun). Blooms will be distributed after the 10.30am family service at the Weymouth Salvation Army Citadel, Westham Road. The service will be led by Lt Col John Pearce Hayden and all are welcome. Women will also be given flowers at the 9.30am and 11.15am services at St Paul's Church, Abbotsbury Road.
