YOUNGSTERS will celebrate the birth of Jesus through a Christingle service, beginning at St Edmund’s Church in Lanehouse Rocks Road, Weymouth at 6pm tomorrow.

A SERVICE marking the Epiphany will begin at 10.15am tomorrow at Weymouth’s Holy Trinity Church.

Other Epiphany services will begin at St Nicholas’ Church, Broadwey at 10.30am, at Holy Trinity Church, Bincombe at 9.15am, at St Laurence’s Church, Upwey at 10.30am and at Buckland Ripers at 6pm. Music and readings for the Epiphany will be performed by the Harmonia Singers at St Paul’s Church, Abbotsbury Road, Weymouth at 4pm tomorrow.

A TAIZÉ service with the theme of the Epiphany will take place at St Mary’s Church, Dorchester, at 6pm tomorrow.

Organisers say it will be an opportunity for quiet reflection, prayer and meditation.

AN ANNUAL fundraising event called the Snowball, held in aid of St Andrew’s Church, Preston, will take place at the Hotel Prince Regent, The Esplanade, Weymouth, next Saturday.

There will be a buffet and dancing with live music provided by the band Tempo.

THE elders of Radipole United Reformed Church will meet to discuss the church on Monday.

The church’s youth club and the Whizz Kids group will also begin meeting again on Friday. Contact the church for more details.

THE Mothers’ Union of St Peter’s Church, Dorchester will meet for a communion service at 2.15pm on Tuesday.

A SOUP lunch will be served in St Martin’s community hall, Broadmayne between 12.30pm and 1.30pm on Thursday for £2 per head.

There will also be bread and biscuits and tea and coffee.

A UNITED benefice Eucharist will begin at 11.30am next Sunday (11) at St Mary’s Church, Dorchester.

The service will include first communions for those from Dorchester and the surrounding district who were confirmed the day before at Salisbury Cathedral.
