THE West Dorset Ringers' annual service and meeting will begin at Holy Trinity Church, Bradpole today.

Ringers' branch chairman Ivan Andrews, of White Close, Bridport said: "This is an annual event and the service of choral evensong commemorates past members of the West Dorset branch of ringers, which was set up in 1910."

He added: "A service has been held at Bradpole on the third Saturday of February almost without exception ever since 1917, when the passing of the branch's first chairman, the Bradpole vicar, the Rev Langford, occured."

The service will begin at 4.30pm.

Mr Andrews added: "Ringers and non-ringers alike will find a warm welcome."
