  • ST NICHOLAS'S Church, Moreton will be the venue for an evening of live singing tonight (Sat) from 7pm onwards. Local soprano Louise Wayman and baritone James Davies, from Llanwrtyd Wells, will perform music by Mozart, Vaughan Williams, Gilbert and Sullivan and Andrew Lloyd-Webber in a show entitled From Baroque to Broadway.

Tickets are £5 each and available on the door or from the Crossways rectory on 01305 854123. Money raised will go towards church funds.

  • BREAKFAST will be served in St Martin's community hall, Broadmayne after tomorrow's (24) 8am communion service at the village church.

On the menu will be fruit salad, cereal, toast, tea and coffee.

  • THE Dorset Christian Business Fellowship will hold a forum entitled A businessman and his money - how should faith affect their relationship?' in Upton House, Poole on Monday (25) at 6pm, with a light buffet at 5pm. To book a place email sasha@dragonflies.me.uk or call 07999 534660.
  • THE New Hardy Players will present an evening of readings, poetry and music in aid of St Laurence's Church, Affpuddle at Briantspuddle village hall on Thursday (28) at 7.30pm.

  • ST NICHOLAS'S Church, Weymouth, will host its next film night at 7.45pm on Thursday (28). Entry is free but donations are welcome.
  • A FAIRTRADE coffee morning will take place at St Augustine's Church hall, Dorchester Road, Weymouth from 10am to 12pm next Saturday (1/3).

Entry 50p including coffee and a biscuit. For more information contact organiser Margaret Naine on 01305 833082.

There will also be a fairtrade event in the Ocean Room of Weymouth Pavilion on Saturday, March 8, hosted by the same organisers.
