SCULPTOR Robert Koenig has finished carving the latest addition to his Odyssey Exhibition on show at Salisbury Cathedral.
The Manchester-based son of Polish immigrants has completed the female 'Salisbury' figure, carved from a fallen sycamore tree from the Wilton Estate, Salisbury.
The exhibition, currently on display in the cathedral, consists of around 30 wooden figures, which are over two metres tall.
Mr Koenig completed much of the work under the watchful eyes of visitors, a first for him.
He added: "It has been a week of firsts. The mallet I have used to carve over 75 trees and to create all the other figures in Odyssey broke in the first hour of work on the sycamore.
"So I have had to create this new figure with a new mallet which I have owned for 15 years but never used."
