Grab your seats quick for Saturday's film
THE first Moviola presentation of 2008 will take place in the Village Hall this Saturday, February 16 at 7.30 pm.
It is the film Ratatouille (U certificate) which is described as 'A comedy with great taste'.
In one of Paris's finest restaurants, Remy, a determined young rat, dreams of becoming a renowned French chef.
Torn between his family's wishes and his true calling, Remy and his pal Linguini set in motion a hilarious train of events that turns the city of lights upside down,
The animation is superb, vocal work flawless, the script witty, the central conflict between family ties and the pursuit of excellence subtly handled.
The New York Times, no less, said 'Ratatouille is a nearly flawless piece of popular art as well as one of the most persuasive portraits of an artist ever committed to film. It provides the kind of deep, transporting pleasure, at once simple and sophisticated, that movies at their best have always promised'.
This was clearly one of 2007's best films and you must not miss it!
Please, it is essential that you book in advance by ringing Bryan and Sue on 01305 268156 to make a reservation.
I learned a lesson last Saturday as I could not get in to see the Artsreach production of The Mad Woman in the Attic.
It was not only a sell-out but there was a waiting list and I was not even on that list!
I missed a wonderful evening.
Needless to say I have already reserved my seat for Ratatouille, so if you are intent on going then ring the above number and don't get caught out like me!!
