Children of Fiji charity comes up with a real winner
 |
| Margaret and Peter meet Dana Winner |
DANA Winner, the successful Belgium singer, got to know about the work of Children of Fiji and invited Peter and Margaret to meet her after one of her concerts.
They travelled to Apeldoorn in Holland for the concert and were very privileged to be able to chat with the singer at some length about their work in Fiji.
Dana (who has just made it to number one in the German charts!) has promised to promote their activities on her website, as well as offering to help in other ways.
The couple already play one of Dana's songs after each of their charity talks and she is delighted that her song is being used in this way.
THE long-awaited Dorset Knob-Throwing event held in Cattistock over the Bank Holiday weekend was a huge success and we would like to thank all who worked so hard both before the event and on the actual day.
We shall give more feedback as and when it becomes available.

THE Cattistock Garden Walkabout committee invites you to come along to their next event, a plant sale in the Savill Hall on Saturday, May 17.
The event starts at 10.30am and there will be various stalls and refreshments available.
This is also a wonderful opportunity to buy plants to brighten up your gardens for the summer, so do come along and find some bargains.
Of course, if any of you have plants or other items to donate, these will be very gratefully received.
THE Maiden Newton at War organisers are putting on a Victorian Tea at the fire station in Maiden Newton on Sunday, May 18 between 3 and 5pm.
The cost will be £3.50.
It is hoped that the event will be held outside, but this will obviously depend on the weather.
Let's keep our fingers crossed!
