Two films coming up at the hall

FOR the summer season there are two Moviola evenings at Bradford Peverell Village Hall.

The first is this Saturday and the film is a trip to Alaska with Into the Wild (15) and the film starts at 7.30pm.

It is the story of 22-year-old Christopher McCandless (Emile Hirsch) who has a promising future ahead of him but instead walks out of his privileged life and goes into the wilds in search of adventure.

The film looks at the different strands of his life in his search for truth and happiness. He encounters many colourful characters on his journey and tests himself by heading into the wilds of Alaska where everything he has seen and learned comes to a head in ways he never could have expected.

Please book your ticket in advance by ringing Bryan or Sue on 01305 268156 and look forward to the second summer presentation which will be on 7th June and will be a classic Jacques Tati evening.

  • THE village hall is a registered charity which relies on your support.

There are a number of vacancies on the management committee and it is hoped new interested villagers will be found for this.

The AGM takes place in the hall on June 6 at 7.30pm.

Please note this date in your diary and come if you can to support the hall.

  • CONGRATULATIONS to the 21 walkers who braved the April showers a few Saturdays ago and to all those who sponsored them.

As a result no less than £287 was raised for the three village charities. Well done the walkers!
