For the following year there will be a team in the under eight age group as well.
With this in mind, the club is now looking for sponsorship.
The team's colours will be green shirts and white shorts and its name is still under discussion but may be "Little Giants".
If you or your company decide to sponsor this mixed sex team, your name could be on the front of the shirts.
Further help is needed with this rapidly expanding football club.
Trainer Andy Ross is looking for a fourth helper/coach.
The club is also in need of a club secretary.
Please get in touch with him on 01300 341804 if you are interested.
Any boys or girls in school years three and four who would like to be in the team next season, let Andy know as soon as possible.
SIR John Mortimer performance on Wednesday, May 28: This was a great success with nearly 150 people there to see it.
Ably supported by actresses Rohan McCullough and Marsha Fitzalan and the Music of Jon Lord (of Deep Purple fame) the audience enjoyed a truly professional evening.
The village hall gained much needed funds which will be spent on the installation of professional stage lighting to benefit the community and those beyond.
Everyone's thanks go to Caroline Tisdall for sponsoring this event.
SOCIETY for Horticulture: The annual flower show takes place on Saturday, August 9 and this is a reminder, not only to visit but also to let you know that there are open classes for non-members.
Fun classes have also been included this year which consist of the longest runner bean and the heaviest onion!
So, even if you are not a member but have an onion to be proud of, please come along and bring your neighbour as well!
A raffle and the usual delicious home made cakes and tea will be available as well.
Further information on all classes can be obtained from Jane Newdick on 01300 342068.
ARTSREACH: A children's workshop will take place on Tuesday, August 19.
Claire Camble-Hutchins will be returning to the village hall to do the musical "Oliver".
The workshop will last from 10:30am - 3:30pm when the performance will take place, before picking-up of the children.
Everyone is asked to bring along a packed lunch as the dance routines require energy!
The ticket price is £ 10 each and bookings are taken by Susie Thorpe at The Old Saddler (01300 341238).
