Karen’s feet are recovering in sandals
 |
| Karen Croad |
KAREN Croad, of Grays in Southill, completed the London Marathon for the first time.
Running in aid of Dogs for the Disabled, she wants to thank her many sponsors.
She still has a lot of outstanding pledges, but has, so far collected over £1,500 for this super charity.
Karen finished the marathon in five hours two minutes, but had to make two unscheduled stops to re-plaster her blisters!
Karen is probably the only person in Weymouth wearing sandals at this time, as she cannot get proper shoes on at the moment!
She says it was a fantastic experience, quite emotional at the end, and now she has achieved it she has another target to aim for and with
a whole year's training, instead of the three months this time, as they didn't let her know of her place until January.
She is looking forward to next year's marathon.
