March madness at St Edmunds

  • ST EDMUNDS Players are staging a variety show entitled March Madness in the church hall, Lanehouse Rocks Road, on Thursday March 27 and Friday March 28.

    Doors open at 6.15pm and the curtain goes up at 7pm. Tickets are available on the door and are priced £3.50 for children and £5 for adults. Alternatively telephone 01305 785914 or 01305 871228 to order tickets in advance.

  • THE new committee for the Society for the Protection of Markham and Little Francis recently held their first meeting to draft a new constitution to present at the next public meeting.

    The practicalities of fundraising was another issue discussed at their initial meeting. Jenny Stewkesbury has kindly offered to be the co-ordinator of events.

    If you have any ideas to share with her or are willing to help in any way, contact her on 01305 785015 because she will be looking for lots of help please.

    To start things off Jenny will be holding a coffee morning at 51 Benville Road on Saturday, March 29, from 10am to noon. £1 will be charged per person for a cuppa and biscuit.

    Please come and show your support. It will be a good opportunity to share ideas and concerns informally with others of like mind.

    The committee members have also produced the first newsletter listing the committee members, their responsibilities and contact numbers.
