POLICE have launched a CCTV appeal after three bottles of whisky were taken from a supermarket.

Officers investigating the shoplifting offence, which took place in Blandford have released a CCTV image of the suspect.

The incident occured at around 3pm on Saturday, April 23 at Marks and Spencer's Food Hall on Langton Road.

Police said that the man entered the store carrying a large bag and placed three bottles of whisky in it and left the store without making an attempt to pay.

Police Constable Adam Aggas, of Blandford police, said: "I am now in a position to issue a CCTV image of the suspect following initial enquiries.

"Anyone who is able to identify the man pictured should contact me on 101."

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 23:232.
