CRAFTY pupils in Blandford have been creating birdfeeders as part of a national birdwatching initiative.
The Nursery in The Orchard, the pre-prep at Knighton House School, is taking part in Schools Bird-watch, which has been set up by the RSPB.
Children at the school have been working hard to make bird feeders using lard, seeds and raisins which they have placed around the school grounds.
They have also been learning about common garden birds while they have been birdwatching.
The children went on an outdoor trail using a map to discover the twelve numbered bird boxes that the school has installed around the school grounds for bird-watch week.
Pupils spotted and heard blackbirds, long tailed tits and chaffinches.
